Chappell Dance & Mood Music Redux

As requested, MORE of Jack Arel & Pierre Dutour from the phenomenal Dance & Mood Music Series of the Chappell Music Library (France). While true stompers exist on this LP as well, such as "Top Rally," "Hurry Man," "Leaving for Cosmos" and "No Man's Land," more range in mood is in evidence on this LP an on DMM 21. Another killer Arel/Dutour original, "Earliness East," is a phenomenal arrangement for horns and string section without a hint of mush or cheese, while "Preacher's Club" is a scintillating big band rocker that easily recalls the finest work of David Lindup for KPM or Sam Spence for NFL Films.

This LP may not have been blogged before - 320kbps rip - Download link in Comments!

Hi Litlgrey,

It seems the file when extracted for Eric Peters et. al., LPC 861-866 is corrupt.

It's not so much it's corrupt, it's because you must be using the latest winzip that uses the .zipx format.

I have to say that not everyone uses that format for various reasons such as older operating system etc.

So in this case, can I kindly ask that you use a file format that most of us can open, and perhaps re-do this one for Chappell Recorded Music LPC861-866 Eric Peters.

I would have like to have heard this.

Awww, shoot. Yes, you're exactly right. I use WinZip 12 or something. I'll have to reZip it and repost it later on.

Thanks Carl,

No hurry of course.

Can I ask which operating system you use, the reason for asking is I tried to download that winzip 12, but I couldn't get it to run, probably because I use windows 98, I kept getting a run time error.

I suppose you bought your version of course.

If you happen to know it works on 98 I certainly wouldn't mind a copy of winzip 12, lol

All the best mate

Windows XP/Service Pack 3. It's possible that I may have paid for a copy of WinZip at some point, but really I don't remember.

That's true, and perhaps you were able to upgrade it as you had already purchased it.

Hi Carl,

I think that lungworms was being sarcastic don't you think?

If I find that is the case I will delete his comment on my post.

I always think it's strange when they have their profile unavailable to view, this makes me wary.

Hey litlgrey,

Just wanted to poke my nose in the door and thank you for the wonderful Chappell music. I'm just discovering it at the old age of 66, and my life's the better for it. You have a delightful blog, and I 'preciate it.

All the best,

Iggy
