Chappell Dance & Mood Music Redux

As requested, MORE of Jack Arel & Pierre Dutour from the phenomenal Dance & Mood Music Series of the Chappell Music Library (France). While true stompers exist on this LP as well, such as "Top Rally," "Hurry Man," "Leaving for Cosmos" and "No Man's Land," more range in mood is in evidence on this LP an on DMM 21. Another killer Arel/Dutour original, "Earliness East," is a phenomenal arrangement for horns and string section without a hint of mush or cheese, while "Preacher's Club" is a scintillating big band rocker that easily recalls the finest work of David Lindup for KPM or Sam Spence for NFL Films.

This LP may not have been blogged before - 320kbps rip - Download link in Comments!

Chappell Music BOOOM !!!

First Posted at the French blog Moogsensations in January 2008, you here locate a magnificent entry in the Chappell Dance & Music Mood Series of the early 1970s.

Pierre Dutour et son Orchestre bring you thirty one and a half minutes of tough Library grooves that don't quit even once. Every track sparkles and drives without even a hint of the leaden clunk-funk that drove Library Music into the tank only a few years later.

The compositions are by Dutour and frequent collaborator Jack Arel (Jacky Azzopardi), Garry Bellington and others; although much as with other crankin' DMM volumes, it is Arel and Dutour at the wheel and firmly in control.

The archive contains the original page from the Moogsensations blog and the link is the original, because it never expired. Moogsensations is a very eccentric blog and the track tags could be better, but as a blog it shows occasional flashes of brilliance and is worthy of support.

Much like other safety-obsessed blogs, the download link is in the Comments. Ripped at 320kbps. Enjoy!
